This position will provide twenty-four by seven (24x7) information security operations services in the City’s information security program. The ideal candidate will be a team player who has experience with large enterprise security programs including vulnerability management, security and event monitoring, threat evaluation, risk management, incident response and compliance activities. The analyst will be responsible for the operations of various security related applications, participating in security incidents, triaging network and cybersecurity events and monitoring the City’s network and cybersecurity systems.
Specific duties include:
Use network and/or system monitoring applications.
Operate an enterprise class anti-virus/anti-malware system including policy, scanning, and remediation activities.
Participate in cyber security related incidents.
Triage network, system and/or cybersecurity events.
Selected/Ideal Candidate will :
Have knowledge of principles of cyber security best practices and concepts.
Be familiar with reviewing and ensuring compliance with security related policies.
Be familiar with NIST Cyber Security Framework and ISO 27001 Framework.
The successful candidate will be expected to participate in a twenty-four by seven (24x7) operational rotation as a member of the network and security operations center staff.

Minimum Requirements:
MINIMUMS: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related technology field; OR any combination of education (above the high school level) and/or professional progressive IT experience equivalent to four (4) years in fields utilizing the knowledge, skills and abilities in technology systems, systems functions and systems capabilities; and associated with such positions
as Systems Engineer, Network Engineer, Database Administrator or Programmer Analyst. May be required to have a current and valid driver’s license. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: All employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response
to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime when required to meet operational needs. Position may require one or more Expert Level Industry Certifications specific to the work to be performed and maintain currency of those, or successor, certifications; such required certifications will be listed in the requisition that announces the vacancy.
