Director of Emergency Services
Location: Kingwood, TX 77339
Schedule: Full-time, Days
Salary: $127,649 – $191,464/year (based on experience)
Incentive Bonus: Up to 17.5% annually (performance-based; potential for 150% upside)
Relocation Assistance: Available (case by case)
Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day operations of a high-volume emergency department serving over 50,000 annual visits.
Manage clinical operations, resource allocation, staffing, and strategic planning for optimal patient flow.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols.
Drive quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and superior patient outcomes.
Develop department programs, set performance benchmarks, and enforce accountability measures.
Mentor and develop clinical leaders and frontline staff.
Collaborate with VP of Emergency Services and facility leadership on long-term initiatives.
Department Overview:
Adult ER with 37 beds
Average volume: 182 patients/day
Level II Trauma Center (frequent Level I cases)
Supported by 2 ER Managers, 5 Clinical Nurse Coordinators (CNCs), and 85 core FTEs
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
Master’s Degree in Nursing, Business, or Healthcare Administration preferred
Current RN license (TX or Compact)
ACLS, BLS, PALS or ENPC certifications required
3–5 years of recent acute care emergency department leadership experience (Director or Manager level)
Must have led a department in a Level I or II trauma center with 50K+ annual volume
