Intern, Research Assistant

Job Title: Research Assistant Intern Location: United States Duration: 36 months, with possibility of extension Compensation: Unpaid Hours: 20 hours per week, flexible schedule

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant Intern to support ongoing research and evaluation projects. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in gaining hands-on experience with data collection, analysis, literature reviews, and report writing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct literature reviews and summarize key findings
• Assist with qualitative and quantitative data collection (e.g., surveys, interviews, focus groups)
• Clean, code, and analyze datasets using Excel, SPSS, R, or similar software
• Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and other dissemination materials
• Maintain accurate records of research activities
• Attend project meetings and contribute to discussions and planning
• Perform administrative tasks related to research as needed

Qualifications:

• Current undergraduate or graduate student in a relevant field (e.g., social sciences, education, economics, psychology)
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Familiarity with research methods and data analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with statistical software is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

Preferred Skills (not required):

• Experience with literature databases (e.g., JSTOR, PubMed, Google Scholar)
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Interest in adult education, education policy, or workforce development
