Role Overview: As the Senior Director of Supply Chain , you will lead and optimize our end-to-end supply chain, including inventory planning, demand forecasting, procurement, logistics, and warehouse operations. You'll manage a team of inventory planners and oversee the performance of our in-house distribution center. This role is critical to ensuring product availability, efficient order fulfillment, and a best-in-class customer experience. This role will report to the CFO. Key Responsibilities: Demand Forecasting & Inventory Planning: Collaborate with merchandising and marketing to develop the annual inventory plan and produce weekly, sku-level demand forecasts. Oversee sku lifecycle management, monitor inventory aging, and lead timely liquidation strategies to maximize inventory efficiency and working capital. Procurement : Manage daily purchase order issuance to support demand across 20,000 items and 50,000 skus. Ensure optimal stock levels through timely PO placement and coordination with vendors. Maintain adherence to key performance metrics, including inventory turnover, in-stock rates, and lead time compliance. Logistics & 3PL/Carrier Ownership: Manage partnerships with carriers and logistics providers to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery. Optimize fulfillment and shipping processes for speed, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Warehouse & Distribution Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse and distribution center. Ensure efficient receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping processes while maintaining accuracy and productivity standards. Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of five inventory planners and oversee the warehouse team. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. System Oversight & Process Improvement: Own the planning systems and tools that support supply chain operations. Drive data-driven decision-making and process enhancements across the supply chain. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with finance, merchandising, marketing, and executive leadership to align supply chain performance with company objectives and customer expectations. Minimum Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a strong background in e-commerce and complex, high-SKU environments Direct experience overseeing warehouse and distribution center operations Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including inventory optimization, logistics, forecasting, and fulfillment Proven leadership experience, with success managing teams and cross-functional initiatives Data-driven and solutions-oriented, with excellent communication and executive presence Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Inventory planning systems (experience with CCH Tagetik Supply Chain Planning is a plus) Bachelor's degree required; preferred majors: Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or related field Why Join Ross-Simons?
