Job Description

The Dallas Mavericks are looking for an experienced Videographer to produce content with The Mavs Digital production team. The ideal candidate is a natural storyteller with a thorough understanding of all aspects of filmmaking. This role will provide an expansive opportunity for the candidate to both shoot and edit various forms of creative video content. Attend games and events to capture high-quality video with strong artistic sensibilities to satisfy a diverse array of projects Edit footage received from our brand ambassadors, other videographers, and other outside sources to create new edits Work with outside vendors to source additional footage, animations, and other assets Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in style and quality, and optimized for user experience for all content channels, including social media, mobile, video, and especially short-form content Partner with video, social, and design teams to brainstorm and storyboard video concepts. Edit, and publish videos on various websites and social media platforms using Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop) Prioritize production of content and ensure it is engaging, accurate, informative and current on all platforms Inputting sound to enhance footage, which may include selecting music and writing voice-overs Improving and correcting lighting, coloring and faulty footage Education, Qualifications, and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in photography or related field required 3-5 years professional videography experience Creative and collaborative team player Ability to capture professional quality video Strong understanding of technology and equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting and specialized software Strong understanding of video and film, lighting techniques and principles of commercial and documentary filmmaking A solid understanding of color management Moves fast, independent and takes initiative Interest in social media with knowledge of the news, media, and entertainment industries Strong understanding of editing techniques Advanced knowledge of Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, and Illustrator Experience in motion graphics animation and motion design a plus Strong photo skills and willingness to fill in seamlessly for photo coverage Willingness to travel often and engage in schedule flexibility Timely knowledge of social design features and trends Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal and presentation skills Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple projects, troubleshoot creative challenges, and deliver on schedule, creative problem solver, effective communicator Illustration skills are a definite plus Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment Job Type: Full-Time The Dallas Mavericks provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws. #J-18808-Ljbffr Dallas Mavericks
